A neon-wrapped roguelite that collapses beneath you
Neon Spellstorm is an explosive action roguelite that breathe’s in color and magic. Developed by TopCog, you play as one of six distinct wizards sprinting along a cracked, collapsing neon path in a cyberpunk-infused world. The ground literally crumbles behind you, turning the environment into a relentless obstacle that rewards both speed and strategic spellcasting.
Paint the world neon
Neon Spellstorm centers on chaining together powerful spell synergies to survive chaotic mob-filled corridors. With 28 unique spells, ranging from Echo, Behemoth, Havoc to Aftershock and 74 trinkets to mix and match, each run becomes a creative experiment in maximizing magical chaos. Spells can generate effects such as extra casts, enlarged blasts, or area-wide destruction.
Just as vital as run-to-run wizardry is the Neon Core meta-progression system. Collecting orbs, stars, gems, and rare Neon allow you to invest in permanent upgrades, unlock new spells, boosts, and traits and unlock tougher paths by facing the Neon Lord, raising the Storm Level for escalating difficulty and richer rewards. However, it's in early development and it’s visually overwhelming.
Chaotic magic in a neon world
Neon Spellstorm delivers a thrilling roguelite experience bursting with spell variety, fast-paced action, and rewarding progression systems. Its collapsing paths and ever-escalating chaos push players to think quickly while experimenting with creative synergies. While its early development state and visually overwhelming presentation may deter some, the core gameplay loop shows strong potential for fans of frantic roguelite magic and cyberpunk-inspired aesthetics.
